Aliens

For the past few weeks, we've been reading a story about 'Aliens'. The aliens are friendly with green heads, big round eyes, hairy feet and a funny walk. We decided to make our own aliens out of coloured card. First, we drew the body and cut it out. Then we glued on eyes, a nose and a mouth. Finally, we made arms and legs. Teacher stuck them up on the wall. They make our room look very colourful. I hope aliens come to visit!

Healthy Eating

Fruit and vegetables contain vitamins, minerals and fibre. We need to eat fruit and vegetables everyday to keep our bodies healthy. We made fruit plates using paper plates, crepe paper, card and newspaper. We also drew pictures of fruit using oil pastels. Teacher created a 'Healthy Eating' display. We will all try to eat more fruit and vegetables.

Fruit and Vegetables

We all brought in a fruit and a vegetable. Teacher cut them up and we used them to make vegetable and fruit people. We all enjoyed it!

Floating and Sinking

We had great fun investigating if different items would float or sink. First, we made predictions and then we carried out the experiments. We found that plastic or small pieces of wood floated but stones and marla sank.

Clay Snowmen

We had great fun making snowmen from clay. We used pebbles for the buttons and face and we used sticks for the arms.
